What a joyful month it’s been—full of creativity, curiosity, and talent! We had such a great time with our amazing group of kids who came ready to learn, explore, and express themselves.
A special highlight? Our first group had the unexpected treat of visiting a beautiful quilt exhibit right in the same building—what a perfect and inspiring coincidence!
From discovering textures and patterns to making their very own skirts using vibrant African prints, these young creators impressed every step of the way.
Thank you to all the supportive parents who helped make this possible. We’re incredibly grateful and excited for all the adventures ahead!

2024 Highlights
We had a fantastic year! First and foremost, one of our visions came to life. We have long dreamed of having the same sewing machines for our classes to make instruction easier and save time. In previous years, we had eight different brands of sewing machines in class, making it challenging to address everyone’s questions. This was a major hurdle! But this year, we were blessed with 12 new sewing machines, specifically designed for teaching sewing classes.

In the winter months of 2024, we held online sewing classes in January, February, and March. Our goal was to keep kids engaged during these months by encouraging them to create fun, seasonal projects. We focused on hand sewing, making fabric flowers and Easter eggs. During the summer, we offered two weeks of beginner sewing sessions in June, followed by a four-day Doll Workshop in July.
Gilbert Intermediate School Clubs
One of the highlights of the year was the opportunity to teach sewing clubs at Gilbert school in my district. This was a key part of our vision—empowering the next generation. Sewing is a wonderful way to nurture creativity and encourage independence. Though our meetings were brief, the excitement and joy in the kids’ eyes made every second worthwhile.

Our fall workshops ran from September to November. In December, we completed a special service project for Green Hills Retirement Home, where we made pillows for the residents. Seeing their happiness and knowing they felt remembered made it all so meaningful.
December 2024 Workshop Update
This month, we had the joy of partnering with Green Hills Retirement Home to bring a little extra comfort and love to their residents. With 55 residents eagerly awaiting handmade pillows, we got to work and created 55 beautiful, cozy pillows just for them!
Delivering these heartfelt gifts was an unforgettable experience. Seeing their smiles and hearing their words of gratitude reminded us why we do what we do. Our hearts are full knowing we could spread some love and make them feel remembered this holiday season.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible - you're part of the magic!
Service Project 2023 - Northridge Village Retirement Community
Our sewing project for December was to make pillows for the Northridge homes. Right before Christmas, we went to the Northridge homes to deliver the pillows we made for them. Our hearts were full as the residents picked the prints they wanted, creating a personal connection with each pillow. One resident, in particular, chose a 'True Love' print, bringing smiles and giggles as we made the pillows.
We had a fantastic first year, and I want to express my gratitude to everyone who supported my sewing classes in any way this year. I’m eagerly Looking forward to greater adventures and connections in this coming year!
